Erika Severyns is a songwriter and community musician passionate about building communities of care. For the last five years, she has sung - both alone and in community - in pubs, detention centres, shelters for unhoused people, and music venues across Europe. Erika prefers to write about the little things in life, like spilling ketchup on her jeans or buying a second toothbrush to leave at her partner's house. Her lyrics are uncomfortably honest but sharpened with the precision of a poet. Her folky songs will remind you of Joni Mitchell and other blonde female songwriters.
“SEVERYNS IS A BASTION OF AN ARTIST FINDING HER PLACE IN REAL TIME THROUGH THE SILENT SPACES OF SELF-REFLECTION.”
